Database and Information Systems Research Group is part of the Laboratory on Digital Libraries and Electronic Publishing of the Ionian University, Greece. DBIS Group is specialized in Database Technologies issues, such as XML and semistructured Databases, information retrieval and so on, Data and Knowledge Organization topics, like metadata standards for libraries, archives and museums, ontologies and semantic web etc, and Information Systems issues like digital library evaluation, user modeling, personalization and information filtering and more. DBIS Group is sited in Corfu, 72 Ioannou Theotoki Street. The Group is comprised by two Associate Professors, one Post-Doctoral researcher and nine Doctoral students. Read more about the People working in the Group here.
