The Ionian University organizes Summer Schools, giving participants the opportunity to attend lectures by prominent academics, to participate in workshops and exchange views among themselves through creative dialogue.

The Summer School of Greek Language, History and Culture of the Ionian University is aimed at people from the Greek diaspora, as well as people who wish to gain an introduction to, or deepen their knowledge of the Greek language, history and culture. The courses are held at the Ionian University in Corfu, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, and will take place over two weeks.
Seafarers in Ancient Greece: Pirates, Sailors, Colonizers
This two-week summer school focuses on various types of seafarers in ancient Greece, from pirates to sailors and colonizers. It explores their roles in mythical journeys, the colonization process and naval battles from the Archaic to the Hellenistic age.

“International Summer Academy for Intercultural Communication” (ISAIC)
The International Summer Academy for Intercultural Communication ran for the second consecutive year between the 1st and the 9th of July, 2019 at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting. The Summer Academy aims to raise intercultural awareness and understanding and cultivate intercultural communication skills.
