|Summer School of Greek Language, History and Culture
The Summer School for Greek Language, History and Culture of the Ionian University is aimed at young people from the Greek diaspora, as well as people with a special interest in Greek language, history and culture, who wish to gain an introduction to, or deepen their knowledge of, Greek language and culture. The courses will be held at the Ionian University in Corfu, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, and will take place over the two weeks from 1 to 14 July 2019. The weekly program of the Summer School will include lectures on the Greek language, history and culture, guided tours of the island’s cultural attractions, singing, dance and cooking experiential activities, and excursions.
The registration deadline is 31 March 2019.

|Summer Piano Institute 2019
The Department of Music of the Ionian University and the Piano Plus Festival welcomes you to the renewed and expanded Summer Piano Institute 2019! This year the institute spreads its wings to embrace more artists, more educational foundations, and of course plenty participants from around the world. Unique names from Europe, United States, and Asia shape this year’s great music event located at the most musical island of Greece, Corfu. Concerts, masterclasses, workshops, lectures, excursions and many more will forever engrave in everyone’s memory this musical week of June. Like every year, the participant students will have the opportunity to learn and exchange musical ideas with leading artists that the Summer Institute has invited. The audience will enjoy six unique piano recitals and masterclasses by renowned pianists as well as by aspired young artists who come every year to broaden their musical knowledge.

The Department of Informatics and the Department of Environment of the Ionian University are organizing an inaugural Summer School on Environmental Informatics in Zakynthos, Greece, between 8-12 July 2019. The main objective of the Summer School is to combine innovative and existing methods that constitute the cognitive field of modern environmental science.

|Summer School on Excavation Techniques, First Aids & Preventive Conservation
The Department of the Environment and the Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology of the Ionian University organise for the first time a Summer School on “Excavation Techniques, First Aid and Preventive Conservation” of excavated material. The Summer School is targeted to students and graduates of archaeology programs, art and antiquities conservation, museology, architecture and cultural heritage management.

|International Summer Academy for Intercultural Communication
The International Summer Academy for Intercultural Communication will run for the second consecutive year between the 1st and the 9th of July, 2019 at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting. The Summer Academy aims to raise intercultural awareness and understanding and cultivate intercultural communication skills. The Academy is for both Greek and Foreign university students regardless of area of study.
