|Summer School of Greek Language, History and Culture
The Summer School for Greek Language, History and Culture of the Ionian University is aimed at young people from the Greek diaspora, as well as people with a special interest in Greek language, history and culture, who wish to gain an introduction to, or deepen their knowledge of, Greek language and culture. The courses will be held at the Ionian University in Corfu, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, and will take place over the two weeks from 1 to 14 July 2019. The weekly program of the Summer School will include lectures on the Greek language, history and culture, guided tours of the island’s cultural attractions, singing, dance and cooking experiential activities, and excursions.

|Seafarers in Ancient Greece - Pirates, Sailors, Colonizers & Intensive Ancient Greek Course
The Ionian University, Corfu, Greece offers an intensive two-week summer course, which focuses on seafarers in ancient Greece, including pirates, sailors and colonizers. The course explores the role of seafarers in mythical journeys, the colonization process and naval battles from the archaic to the Hellenistic age. Emphasis will be given to maritime religion, economy and landscape. The students will also establish a good foundation in ancient Greek History, Art, and Religion.

|Summer School on Environmental Informatics
The Department of Informatics and the Department of Environment of the Ionian University are organizing an inaugural Summer School on Environmental Informatics in Zakynthos, Greece, between 8-12 July 2019. The main objective of the Summer School is to combine innovative and existing methods that constitute the cognitive field of modern environmental science.
