The Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) Evaluation and Accreditation Council has accredited the Postgraduate Study Programme of New Media Communication & Digital Marketing of the Department of Digital Media & Communication of the Ionian University as fully compliant to the Standards for Quality Accreditation of Postgraduate Study Programmes of the HAHE and to the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) for study level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework.

Beginning in the academic year 2025–2026, the Department of History within the Faculty of Humanities at the Ionian University will be renamed to the "Department of History and Digital Humanities". The department’s curriculum will be expanded to include a new digital dimension, aimed at addressing contemporary academic needs and strengthening the digital skills of its graduates, without altering the Department’s core academic discipline.

Postponement of Erasmus+ Incoming and Outgoing Mobilities - students and staff- for Spring Semester 2020-21 due to COVID-19

The Academic Senate of Ionian University (Corfu, Greece)  has made the difficult decision to postpone all incoming and outgoing mobilities scheduled for the Winter Semester of the academic year 2020-2021 to the next Spring Semester or the next academic year, due to COVID-19.
