Academic Calendar

The academic year starts on September 1st of each year and ends on August 31st of the following year. It is divided in two semesters (Winter and Spring). The exact dates of each semester, as well as the corresponding exam periods are determined by the Senate of the University.

WINTER SEMESTER (For All Departments)
Teaching: 01/10/2025 until 20/01/2026 (thirteen full weeks)
Exams: 21/01/2026 until 10/02/2026

SPRING SEMESTER (For All Departments)
Teaching: 11/02/2026 until 29/05/2026 (thirteen full weeks)
Exams: 02/06/2026 until 19/06/2026

Repeat Exam: 01/09/2026 until 25/09/2026 for all Departments.

Exams: 18/01/2027 until 05/02/2027

SPRING SEMESTER (For All Departments)
Teaching: 08/02/2027 until 28/05/2027 (16 calendar weeks from Monday to Friday: 13 weeks of instruction, 1 week of missing classes, 2 weeks of Easter break)
Exams: 31/05/2027 until 18/06/2027

September Repeat Exams: 01/09/2027 until 28/09/2027 for all Departments.

Christmas Holidays: 24/12/2026 until 07/01/2027
• Last day of classes before the break: Wednesday, December 23, 2026
• Classes resume after the break: Friday, January 8, 2027
Easter Holidays: 26/04/2027 until 07/05/2027
• Last day of classes before the break: Friday, April 23, 2027
