Sounds and Images at the New Fortress:

Three internationally renowned artists: Composers Joel Chadabe (New York), Curtis Roads (Santa Barbara) and Composer/Video Artist Brian O'Reilly (Karlsruhe) will join forces to present an evening of live and composed music and video, generated or processed by computer. The concert will take place at the newly opened and equipped Bora Bora bar at the top of the New Venetian Fortress, with a panorama of the entire Corfu Old Town. The composers are well known as pioneers in their field and have a long track record in artistic creation and cultural as well as research achievements. Joel Chadabe, founder and president of Electronic Music Foundation will perform his recent piece 'One World 1' which presents a mix of urban sounds of New York and New Delhi. Curtis Roads and Brian O'Reilly will present the results of years of work in computer synthesized sound and computer processed moving images, in a live rendering of their collection of works 'Point Line Cloud', a display of artistic mastery of some of the most impressive and advanced techniques available for forming sound and image by computer. The evening will close with Brian O'Reilly performing his work Weather Mechanics, which he made using pioneer equipment for video synthesis.
