Department of Regional Development Erasmus+ press release
The European Commission approved the funding proposal totaling 286,304.00 euros submitted by the Department of Regional Development together with six (6) other European Institutions and organizations on the readiness of digital education in the field of higher education.
The proposal was submitted under the coordination of the Department's Head, Prof. Phivos-Apostolos Mylonas and the supervision of the Head of Erasmus Actions of the Department, Mrs. Olga Astara, in collaboration with the University of Innsbruck (Austria), the Friuli Innovazione Search and Transfer Technologico Scarl (Italy), the Development Agency Sora doo (Slovenia), Gemeinde Irschen (Austria), the civil non-profit company "Solidarity Trails" (Greece) and Mobile 3D (Italy).
The project is part of the actions of Erasmus+ 2020 and in particular the Call "Strategic Partnerships in Response to the COVID-19 Situation: Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness in the field of Higher Education (KA226)".
The acquisition of this funding is a confirmation of the high level of research conducted at the Ionian University in order to promote research excellence, support entrepreneurship, as well as the development of modern research and development infrastructure in Lefkada and the rest of the Ionian Islands.
