The UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritge related Activities at the Ionian University was the first to respond immediately after consulting its members to the call of the internationally renowned Ukrainian National Academy of Music Tchaikovsky for supporting their application for the establishment of the UNESCO Chair on Music Creativity Education and Science. The application was received in Corfu from the headquarters of the Academy in Kyiv and the responding letter of support (attached) was received by the Secretariat of the Academy after 2,5 hours on the way to Lviv where they have been temporarily transported to avoid bombing.
Dear Professor Katsios,
Thank you very much for the Letter of Support, such prompt reply and your overall support!
Sorry for my late reply! Our International Office is now being evacuated to Lviv, we are still half way to it and I have poor internet connection.
On behalf of our Rector professor Maksym Tymoshenko and all our Administration I would like to express our deepest gratitude for your support in this difficult time! I really hope that the situation gets better and we could start collaboration between our Institutions.
Thank you very much once more!
Best wishes from Ukraine,
Anna
