On June 1-3, a meeting of the ASH-MA consortium for the design of a new Art, Science & Health MA program with participants from Croatia, Serbia and Greece, will take place in Corfu. The program was launched in February 2022 by the Croatian NGO Kontejner, Bureau of Contemporary Art Praxis and three universities: Academy of Fine Arts - University of Zagreb (Zagreb, Croatia), Department of Audio and Visual Arts - Ionian University (Corfu, Greece) and Faculty of Media and Communication - Singidunum University (Belgrade, Serbia).

With the support of the EU program Erasmus Mundus Design Measures, ASH-MA focuses on the creation of a joint Master of Art (MA) degree with emphasis on the relationship between Art, Science and Health (ASH). Some of the topics approached through artist research on science and health issues include: health technologies, aging and disability, environmental sustainability, cultural traditions of herbal medicine, anatomical illustration and human enhancement. ASH-MA involves the collaboration of these four institutions as well as the support of scientists, artists and other specialists developing work in this area of research.

The meeting in Corfu will take place at the premises of the Ionian University and will include in addition to the working meetings, the realization of a workshop on animal enrichment, a tour of the BiHELab and a round table with international experts in bioart and health studies. These activities are developed in collaboration with the: Audiovisual Arts Festival, Hub of Art Laboratories, Bioinformatics & Human Electrophysiology Lab and Corfu Aquarium.
