Dr Anastasia Parianou, Professor at DFLTI, and Dr Sigmund Kvam, Professor at the Østfold University College in Norway, led a seminar entitled 'Textanalyse und Translation' (Text analysis and Translation).The seminar was held between the 3rd and 6th April 2017 at DFLTI, in which the German-speaking students of the DFLTI took part.

The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University proudly announces that the e-book with the proceedings of the interdisciplinary conference "Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence in Art and Science 2016" has been released. The electronic edition includes more than 40 chapters, in Greek and in English, of authors from 16 different countries.

In September 2016 the international collective volume entitled "Language and Nation Crossroads and Connections" was published by Waxmann Publishing GmbH which has been edited by Anastasia Parianou, Associate Professor of DFLTI, along with Guri Ellen Barstad, Arnstein Hjelde, Sigmund Kvam and John Todd. Dr. Parianou has also contributed with her article "Nation, Translation und kleine Sprachen".
