The Board of Governance of the Ionian University decided on the announcement for the admission of foreign-alien students to the Department of Music Studies, in the Music Performance and to the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, Undergraduate Study Program, in accordance with the provisions of Article 58 of 5094/2024 (Α΄ 39), for the academic year 2026-27. The period for submission of candidacies is set from 14/07/2026 to 17/09/2026.

The Ionian University announces that, from September 1st, 2026, the Department of Archives, Library Science, and Museology will be renamed as the Department of Information Science, according to Government Gazette No. 4296 of August 7, 2025, Series B. The new name reflects the Department’s evolution and the expansion of its academic and research fields, while preserving its long tradition and academic excellence in the fields of Archives, Libraries, Museums and Cultural Heritage.

The academic calendar for the year 2026-2027 is published with dates on tuition, exams and holidays.

Beginning in the academic year 2025–2026, the Department of History within the Faculty of Humanities at the Ionian University will be renamed to the "Department of History and Digital Humanities". The department’s curriculum will be expanded to include a new digital dimension, aimed at addressing contemporary academic needs and strengthening the digital skills of its graduates, without altering the Department’s core academic discipline.

Postponement of Erasmus+ Incoming and Outgoing Mobilities - students and staff- for Spring Semester 2020-21 due to COVID-19
