The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Education and International Studies of OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University and the DFLTI of the Ionian University opens new paths for the two institutions. The MoU provides for research and teaching cooperation in the following areas:
- Interpretating pedagogy
- Interpreting in public services in Greece and Norway
- Sign language
- Training on issues relating to migration from third world countries
- Vocational studies / adult vocational education and training
- Innovation (Information Technology) and language
The cooperation will focus on the exchange of researchers and students and the production of innovative solutions to issues relating to communication and society.
The first joint actions focusing on interpretating in public services are already planned. The first joint workshop on public service interpreting will take place at the end of March. The programme will be communicated shortly.
