3rd International Conference on Museum Big Data (MBD2024),
18-19 November 2024 (Athens and online)
Submit your contributions by 7 October 2024!
(extended due to numerous requests)
The Department of Archives, Library Science and Museology of the Ionian University organizes the 3rd International Conference in Museum Big Data, 18-19 November 2024 in Athens and online.
MBD Conferences address the need to detect new and discover hidden and useful information, patterns, clusters and relationships among large sums of museum data. Museums all over the world maintain and expand dynamic databases and big datasets on museum objects and operations as well as generated data extending from visitors’ numbers, times and stops to tweets, likes and shares. To tackle this need, we require ethical considerations and processes, a thorough understanding of contexts in the physical and the digital world, and cross-disciplinary Big Data methods, techniques and testing.
Submit your contributions by 7 October 2024. MBD2024 is in English and takes place in Athens, but also online. Proceedings will be published with CEUR-WS.org (indexed by DBLP, Scopus, GoogleScholar etc.), and extended versions of selected papers will be published in an international peer-reviewed journal.
