The Department of Informatics of Ionian University organizes the international Summer School IPICS 2017 (Intensive Program on Information Communication Security), from 28 June to 7 July 2017, in Corfu, Greece.
IPICS summer school is held annually since 1998 and it generally considered a significant academic event for the scientific field of Information and Communication Security. IPICS summer school is a two weeks course for Master`s students in their final year, PhD students and IT and information security professionals interested in a comprehensive overview and broad coverage of recent developments in “Information and Communication Security”, as well as ‘Information Privacy’. The objective of the summer school is on the one hand, to deliver foundational knowledge on information security, and on the other, to present timely research and practice gaps. The participants will attend a series of lectures by distinguished professors and researchers from academic institutions across Europe. The participants will also engage in computer laboratory exercises for the detection and mitigation of information and communication security threats.
With the participation of distinguished scholars in information and communication security, the summer school is expected to attract the interest of highly qualified students globally.
