The Board of Governance of the Ionian University decided on the announcement for the admission of foreign-alien students to the Department of Music Studies, in the Music Performance and to the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, Undergraduate Study Program, in accordance with the provisions of Article 58 of 5094/2024 (Α΄ 39), for the academic year 2026-27. For the eighth consecutive year, the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University is organizing the ICONA 2026 Festival from November 12 through November 15, 2026.

Following the successful PIONEER+ project meeting in Colmar, which brought together project partners to review the project’s progress, discuss upcoming activities, and align on the next steps towards achieving its objectives, the consortium took the opportunity to further strengthen collaboration through a joint workshop with the LOTUS Project at the CCI Colmar.

The Ionian University announces that, from September 1st, 2026, the Department of Archives, Library Science, and Museology will be renamed as the Department of Information Science, according to Government Gazette No. 4296 of August 7, 2025, Series B.
