The Interactive Arts Laboratory 'inArts' of the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the Ionian University participates in the 16th Athens Digital Arts Festival with 70 works by undergraduate, graduate students, students of the newly established OPEN ART Lifelong Learning Program, graduates and faculty. The Exhibition is taking place in Asomaton square and the pedestrian street of Ermou (THISIO Station), from Thursday, October 8 until Sunday, October 18.

The 4th World Congress on Geriatrics and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research “GeNeDis 2020″ entitled ‘Health in Aging and Mental Wellness in the new digital era’ will be held exclusively online, 8th to 11th October, 2020. GeNeDis 2020 is oranized by the Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Lab (BIHELab) of the Department of Informatics, Ionian University, under the patronage of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Mrs Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The aim of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2020 is to present the best from the field of animation from all around the world. The festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated film, contribute to creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourages dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public.

The programme proposal with the title: Network on Privacy-Aware Audio- and Video-Based Applications for Active and Assisted Living (Acronym: GoodBrother) has been accepted in the framework of the Horizon 2020, EU COST ACTIONS.

The collaboration with the Ionian University of Greece resulted into another successful terminology project, this time about Brexit, Korea Crisis, Cyclic Economy and Waste Reduction, Disinformation and Cybersecurity, Inequality, Terrorism and Youth Empowerment.
