The kick-off meeting of the DIN-ECO research project (Boosting Digital Innovation & Transformation Capacity of HEIs in an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem), with Scientific Coordinator Prof. Adamantia Pateli from the Department of Informatics of the Ionian University, was held on September 26 at the Ionian Academy, Corfu. The meeting was attended by representatives of cooperating institutions from Denmark, Italy, Cyprus, Poland, Serbia, as well as Greece.

On Thursday, December 31st, 2020 and Friday, January 1st, 2021, the streaming of the projection mapping and the in situ performance which was created within the framework of the celebration by the Region of Ionian Islands for the 200th anniversary of the 1821 revolution took place. The artwork that will be projected, entitled "Sound and Light 1821 - 2021", was designed and implemented entirely by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.

On September 12-13, 2018, the project “Common Initiatives to AcKnowledge and valorize tourism potential of the programme area through cinema” (CIAK) was launched through its kickoff meeting that took place in Bari, Italy. CIAK is funded by the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme 2014-2020 and the kickoff meeting was hosted by the lead partner, the Foundation Apulia Film Commission. Ionian University is a CIAK project partner, represented by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, being responsible for organizing and delivering the planned educational activities starting in 2019, as well as theme-specific festivals.
