The video of RH Factor's "Crazy Race", as performed by students of the Department of Music Studies, is a first sample of the new direction of Music Production at the Ionian University in collaboration with the Jazz department.

On Thursday, December 31st, 2020 and Friday, January 1st, 2021, the streaming of the projection mapping and the in situ performance which was created within the framework of the celebration by the Region of Ionian Islands for the 200th anniversary of the 1821 revolution took place. The artwork that will be projected, entitled "Sound and Light 1821 - 2021", was designed and implemented entirely by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.

The second Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2020, organized and promoted by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University had exceeded our expectations with more than 1.200 submissions.

Τhe fourth international conference "Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science" will take place November 26–28, 2020, exclusively online as TTT2020 Vienna/Online, an umbilical cord between what would be and what it is. Including theoretical and art practice presentations, TTT2020 continues to focus: (a) on questions about the nature of the forbidden and aesthetics of liminality as expressed in art that uses or is inspired by technology and science; (b) on the opening of spaces for creative transformation in the merging of science and art. TTT2020 Vienna/Online will have one unique streaming channel with a 12 hours program/day followed by a recorded re-stream for audiences in other time zones. This means 24h a day for three days non-stop! The program of TTT2020 is divided in four categories in a total of twenty-three Sessions, six Roundtables, five ArtBox events and three Open Mic Q&A sessions.

The KEDIVIM of the Ionian University organizes a training program entitled "Understanding Turkey through Elements of Language, Culture and Society" from 12 October 2020 to 25 June 2021 with Associate Professor George Michalakopoulos (Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting) as the Scientific Coordinator. The Interactive Arts Laboratory 'inArts' of the Department of Audiovisual Arts of the Ionian University participates in the 16th Athens Digital Arts Festival with 70 works by undergraduate, graduate students, students of the newly established OPEN ART Lifelong Learning Program, graduates and faculty. The Exhibition is taking place in Asomaton square and the pedestrian street of Ermou (THISIO Station), from Thursday, October 8 until Sunday, October 18.

The team of Open Art, educational, training and lifelong learning program of the Ionian University, is pleased to announce the start of the 2nd course. The programme is distance learning and starts in the last week of October. Strict deadline for applications: 11 October 2020.
