The Board of Governance of the Ionian University decided on the announcement for the admission of foreign-alien students to the Department of Music Studies, in the Music Performance and to the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, Undergraduate Study Program, in accordance with the provisions of Article 58 of 5094/2024 (Α΄ 39), for the academic year 2026-27. The period for submission of candidacies is set from 14/07/2026 to 17/09/2026.

Following the successful PIONEER+ project meeting in Colmar, which brought together project partners to review the project’s progress, discuss upcoming activities, and align on the next steps towards achieving its objectives, the consortium took the opportunity to further strengthen collaboration through a joint workshop with the LOTUS Project at the CCI Colmar.

The Ionian University announces that, from September 1st, 2026, the Department of Archives, Library Science, and Museology will be renamed as the Department of Information Science, according to Government Gazette No. 4296 of August 7, 2025, Series B. The new name reflects the Department’s evolution and the expansion of its academic and research fields, while preserving its long tradition and academic excellence in the fields of Archives, Libraries, Museums and Cultural Heritage.

Organised by the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting and the MA Science of Translation of the Ionian University, this international conference — Translating and Interpreting in the Era of Algorithms (TIERA)— invites scholars, researchers, professionals, and students to explore the emerging interfaces between technology, translation and interpreting, and language mediation in the 21st century.
