On August 11, 2022, the inaugural workshop took place in the framework of the collaboration between the UNESCO Chair of the Ionian University with the Institute of Studies on the Mediterranean Rim of China's Zhejiang University of International Studies.

The EU-funded Horizon 2020 SIENNA project, where the Ionian University is a partner, has been awarded a Champions Certificate for its contribution to the ethical dimensions of the Information Society at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum. On June 1-3, a meeting of the ASH-MA consortium for the design of a new Art, Science & Health MA program with participants from Croatia, Serbia and Greece, will take place in Corfu.
