Κέντρο Συμπαραστάσεως Παλιννοστούντων και Μεταναστών – Οικουμενικό Πρόγραμμα Προσφύγων Η αστική μη κερδοσκοπική εταιρεία της Εκκλησίας της Ελλάδος «Κέντρο Συμπαραστάσεως Παλιννοστούντων και Μεταναστών – Οικουμενικό Πρόγραμμα Προσφύγων» με στόχο την παροχή υποστηρικτικών υπηρεσιών σε Έλληνες παλιννοστούντες από γερμανόφωνες χώρες της Δυτικής Ευρώπης, ώστε αυτοί να ανταπεξέλθουν κυρίως σε θέματα κοινωνικής ασφάλισης καθώς και σε προβλήματα που προέκυπταν κατά την επιστροφή και επανένταξή τους στην ελληνική κοινωνία. Όταν στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1990 άρχισε να διογκώνεται η εισροή αλλοδαπών μεταναστών και προσφύγων προς την Ελλάδα, η εν λόγω υπηρεσία ίδρυσε ένα ιδιαίτερο γραφείο, το Οικουμενικό Πρόγραμμα Προσφύγων (Ecumenical Refugee Program/ERP) προκειμένου να διαχειρίζεται αποτελεσματικότερα υποθέσεις αιτούντων άσυλο, προσφύγων και μεταναστών. ![]() |

UN refugee agency The UN refugee agency emerged in the wake of World War II to help Europeans displaced by that conflict. Optimistically, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly with a three-year mandate to complete its work and then disband. The following year, on July 28, the United Nations Convention relating to the Status of Refugees - the legal foundation of helping refugees and the basic statute guiding UNHCR's work - was adopted. ![]() |

Ύπατη Αρμοστεία του ΟΗΕ για τους Πρόσφυγες - Ελλάδα Η Ύπατη Αρμοστεία δημιουργήθηκε μετά το τέλος του Δευτέρου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου για να βοηθήσει τους Ευρωπαίους που είχαν εκτοπιστεί εξαιτίας αυτού του πολέμου. Το Γραφείο της Ύπατης Αρμοστείας του ΟΗΕ για τους Πρόσφυγες ιδρύθηκε στις 14 Δεκεμβρίου του 1950, από τη Γενική Συνέλευση του ΟΗΕ, αρχικά για τρία χρόνια. Στις 28 Ιουλίου της επόμενης χρονιάς, υιοθετήθηκε η Σύμβαση του ΟΗΕ σχετικά με το Καθεστώς των Προσφύγων, που αποτελεί τον θεμέλιο λίθο για τη νομική κατοχύρωση της παροχής βοήθειας προς τους πρόσφυγες , καθώς και το βασικό κείμενο που καθοδηγεί το έργο της Ύπατης Αρμοστείας. ![]() |
